Writing Reality: Chapter 1
Chapter 1
Sitting in the coffee shop, Bianca stared at her laptop screen as it showed her the story she was trying to write. The words sat still, the only movement being the cursor, steadily blinking. It didn't take long from when she began her one-sided staring contest for her attention to be directed at that cursor. Her mind began to give it life, turning a simple line of pixels into a character whose sole purpose was to taunt her. Each blink turned into a tick of a clock's second hand, her mind now giving the newly created character the power to manipulate time, to speed it along and rob her of the little time she had to write.
