The castle loomed above our heads.
In that classic dark and misty manner.
There was no sign of life, other than or breathing.
Simultaneously heavy and refrained, from the climb and fear.
The silence was broken.
By one of those screams that haunt the night.
High and painful. The sound of torture.
We had to go in.
To help her.
Leaving was not an option.
But now it is.
